Who is eligible to apply?
Section A: To be eligible for
funding, the following statements must be
true of the applying organization:

Registered with the Canada Revenue
Agency (CRA) as a charitable
organization including valid
registration number
√
In good standing with the BC Government
as a charitable organization
√
No outstanding final reports from past
PECSF Funding Cycles
√
In operation for a minimum of three
years
√
Directs less than 20% of organizational
budget to administrative costs
√
No deficits or large debts
√ Identified other funding
partners for proposed project/
program/ service.
*Please Note: Applications for 2011
– 2013 funding intake will not be
considered if PECSF is deemed to be the
sole source of funding
√ Initial PECSF funding for this
project/program/service not required
before August 2012

Section B: Funding will not
be granted for any of the following
purposes:
X Deficit reduction
X Political activities
X Direct religious activities
X Operational or administrative
costs in excess of 20% of the
proposed budget
X Fundraising
X Capital costs

note:
The Community Fund receives far
more requests from charities than
funding available from the Fund
