Funding Information

What are the funding guidelines?

  1. The Community Fund is coordinated locally by Regional Committees made up of public service employees who volunteer to participate in eligibility, selection, and allocation decisions for Fund Supported pool funds in their region.

  2. Each year Regional Committee members conduct an annual review of the charities that are supported by the Community Fund. Regional Committee members may also accept new applications for funding and conduct interviews of charities wishing to be part of the annual workplace fundraising Campaign. This process begins in January through June each year.

  3. Charitable organizations will be in the Fund Supported pool for three years once their application is accepted. Charities must reapply after that time.  Each Regional Committee will decide how many charities they will have in their regional pool.

  4. Fund Supported charities must provide an annual report to the Regional Committees to account for how they used the funding provided and how they recognize the donations made by employees.  New requests for funding will not be considered if reports on any previous grants are overdue.

What type of funding is available?

Fund Supported charities have been selected by Regional Committees to receive a portion of the pool funds. The criteria for Fund Supported charities are based on a number of factors including the perceived need, trends of donors and the impact and value within the community. The full granting process is required to be considered as a Fund Supported charity.

Donor Choice charities and funds are selected by the employee donor. All monies are disbursed directly to the federally registered charity. Charities can be added to the list during Campaign time at the request of employees only. Charities by Region
