Running Gaming Events

The PECSF has one single license that covers all gaming and raffles across the province for the Community Fund. The PECSF retains a Class A license with the Ministry Of Public Safety & Solicitor General. For more information about the gaming license, please contact the Community Fund Office or visit the PSSG Gaming Licensing webpage.

Gaming events are similar to fundraising events. While planning and the submission of proceeds remains unchanged, here are some important gaming information and rules.

  • The slogan, license number, Problem Gambling Helpline phone number (1-888-795-6111), and the Responsible Gambling website must be included on all event advertising including posters, emails, etc.
  • The PECSF Gaming License number is 2292 and the Slogan is “Know your limit, play within it”
  • You must advertise where the proceeds will be going and all proceeds must benefit the Community Fund supported charities.
  • Prizes of alcohol, firearms, and livestock are not allowed.
  • You can use the double roll tear away easy tickets for 50/50 draws, but you must sell the tickets and have the draw within the same day.
  • Don't forget to fill out your Fundraiser and Gaming Forms. Use the Gaming Forms for raffles and 50/50 draws and the Fundraiser Forms for all other events.
